- IPM was joined EARN via Vienna University
- Established Leased Line
- The protocol was NJE
- Universities joined IPM
1994
- Protocol was changed to TCP/IP
- .ir was registered
- IRANET was lunched
- Many universities joined IRANET
- RIPE accepted IRANET as a member
- RIPE assigned 32 IP classes
1995
- An AS number was registered and assigned to IRANET
- IRANET joined TERENA
1996
- The bandwidth was increased to 128 Kbps
- From again, the bandwidth was increased to 2 Mbps
- 255 C classes were assigned IRANET
1997
- The bandwidth was increased to 10Mbps
1999
- The bandwidth was increased to 40Mbps
2002
- IRANET applied IPv6 in 2002, and RIPE assigned first block of IPv6 to IRANET in Iran
- IRANET became the first national LIR in Iran
- The IPv6 connection is a tunnel to 6ACS from Open Transit
2003
- Working groups were
established in Iranet in four categories
- Monitoring
and
Routing groups were reorganized based of new visions
- MRTG was developed by
monitoring group in order to meet network requirements
2004
- Security
and
Multimedia groups were established and jointed to working groups of
Iranet
- IDS and
IPS applications
were developed by security group
- Web seminar and web conference
applications were developed by multimedia group
- RMS which is a web-based
switch/router monitoring tool was designed and developed by montoring group
- Iranet Bandwidth raised up to 195Mbps
2005-2007
- Working groups kept developing network applications
- Iranet website was developed and changed to new format
- VOIP services was implemented
- IPM network infrastructure was changed and new multilayer devices were used
